you can work for money but of course if you job hop, you don't
tend to earn that much
I did most of my job hopping before i settled down in my previous
career. Before that, started door-to-door sales when I was 14,
hotel front desk when I was 16, telemarketing when I was 18, Did
some part time as waitress in Karaoke (gosh, did my parents go mad
over that one) and then some production crew for hokkien karaoke
company when I was 22, and then freelanced in production line for a
couple of years
Then i became boring and worked more or less in publishing/graphic
design for the next 6 years.
It was really quite fun, and met lots of interesting people from
different walks of life - from Hokkien Beng Uncles, to China ladies
coming here to carve out a career, to club ladies hoping to become
a star. All have their own stories, and cos I was quite young then,
I think they weren't so 'shy' to discuss their stories in front of
me.
I guess that's the best part about job hopping and getting to know
people .
Ultimately - it's just work. Money is important
but enough money is enough la! Live simply loh. I
have simple tastes (correction: I have cheap tastes.)
